What is attraction marketing? Relationships are established and built through mutual trust, admiration, and commonality. Attraction marketing seeks to develop relationships by providing service and value to customers. The goal is not to attract buyers, rather to create customers and followers for life.
The goal of the attraction marketer should NOT be to sell products and services but to seek out relationships with prospects, identify their needs and meet them. Eventually as the relationship is developed, the sale will come without you ever having to pitch your product.
Traditional marketing tends to be a little pushy and overwhelming. The message is: buy now, I have what you want and it is better than anyone else’s. People do not like to be sold to, but they do like to buy. Everyone loves to shop, that is a given. Shopping is fun, it creates an adrenaline rush, so naturally if you just remove the sales person from the equation; the natural shopper in us will take over.
If you provide your customers with an attractive website, filled with helpful and valuable content, they will respond. As you begin to make recommendations on products that they can purchase, they will buy them. Solve your prospects problems, lead don’t attempt to sell. Selling is the easiest way to turn people off.
Attraction marketing is really just an extension of customer relationship management (CRM). Think of it this way, initially you are collecting a data warehouse of possibilities. As you learn each of those unique possibilities, you will then be able to make those possibilities a reality.
I hope that you will be able to take this information and begin to build your prospect list. Subscribe to this blog for next weeks informative articles on ways to service and add value to your prospect’s experience through your own personalized website.
